About Sir. E.H Simpson
Simpson’s forest is a subtropical mountain forest patch which is situated in the Wattegama Elkaduwa Road. Located at an attitude of 1300M above sea Level. This so called Simpson’s forest patch was protected by the former planter named Sir. E.H Simpson from the British era also happen created a watershed which was later beneficial for the village community since had a continues water source even in the dry seasons. And for this reason he was highly appreciated by the local community.
